How we judge it

  • A feed is live while the latest snapshot of the exchange's prices is no older than 20 seconds. That is the same limit after which routes through the exchange are hidden from the scanners: stale prices cannot be compared with fresh ones elsewhere.
  • Lagging: the snapshot is older than that. The age shows how long ago the last quote arrived. No data: we cannot see this exchange's feed at the moment.
  • Markets are the pairs that have both a bid and an ask in the latest snapshot.
  • Exchange health is our verdict from our own quotes over the last hour: the exchange's share of all exchanges' volume and the number of markets it quotes are compared with its usual values over 14 days. It shows an exchange that is fading before it closes.
  • This page describes the state of our data only. It is not a statement that an exchange is sound or that funds are safe on it.
